FAQs
Q: How do we book a tour with you?
A: The process is begun by you contacting us through email, social media, website inquiry, or phone. Our booking system is not in place yet, so we can communicate a sign up and then take payment online through Venmo or Paypal. You will then be emailed all documents that need signed and returned (Acknowledgement of Risk, Photo Release, Trailhead Directions and some hiking accessory tips).

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: We offer a full refund for cancellations within 48 hours of the tour.
Q: What happens if there is hazardous weather on the day of the tour?
A: If there is hazardous weather such as lightening and high winds, Rock Root River Tours will attempt to re-schedule the tour, but otherwise we hike rain or shine.
Q: What happens if Rock Root River Tours cancels the tour and can't re-schedule?
A: If Rock Root River Tours cancels the tour and can't re-schedule, a full refund will be issued.

Q: Are dogs welcome?
A: We love dogs and follow the National Park's dog policy. The basics state no longer than 6' leash and be prepared to pick up and pack out their waste to keep our park ecosystems healthy. https://www.nps.gov/neri/planyourvisit/pets.htm#:~:text=Pets%20are%20allowed%20on%20all,wildlife%2C%20ecosystems%2C%20and%20visitors.

Q: We need help finding the trailhead?
A: We understand that West Virginia roads speak their own language and if GPS directions are not quite enough, we would be happy to meet up and let you follow the Rock Root River Tours mobile. Unfortunately, Rock Root River Tours is not insured to actually transport our guests.
